The Grievance Officer is a resident of India, as required under the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

How quickly we respond

  • We acknowledge every complaint within 24 hours of receipt.
  • We aim to resolve every complaint within 15 days of receipt, in line with Rule 3(2)(a) of the IT Rules, 2021.
  • If you are not satisfied with our resolution, you may escalate to the Grievance Appellate Committee constituted under Rule 3A of the IT Rules, 2021.

What you can report

You can write to the Grievance Officer about any of the following:

  • Content on the platform that you believe is unlawful, defamatory, infringes intellectual property, or otherwise violates the IT Act, 2000 or rules made thereunder.
  • Misuse of your personal data, requests to access, correct, or erase data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
  • Suspected security incidents, unauthorised access, or vulnerabilities you have identified.
  • Any other complaint relating to your use of Gaveli.

How to file a complaint

Send your complaint by email. We will acknowledge receipt within 24 hours and respond with a resolution timeline.

Statutory basis

Gaveli is an intermediary under Section 2(1)(w) of the Information Technology Act, 2000. The information published on this page meets the obligations under Rule 3(2) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021. Nothing on this page limits any statutory remedy available to you.

Jurisdiction

Disputes arising in connection with the platform are governed by the laws of India and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
